2025 Declared "Fire Prevention Year" in NYC
The New York City Fire Department Foundation announced it would host "thousands" of public education events, across 100 blocks, in the five boroughs this year.
To mark the 100th anniversary of National Fire Prevention Week, the New York City Mayor and Fire Commissioner declared 2025 as the “Fire Prevention Year” in NYC on Thursday, March 13.
The educational topics selected by the FDNY, showcases the leading cause of destructive fires in NYC last year.
